For three years, WGBH-TV in Boston has presented World as a primary showcase for international documentaries. The Peabody Board found the 1979 series to be particularly noteworthy. Executive producer David Fanning has put together, from a wide variety of sources, a series of programs which are at once diverse and yet which show the cohesion that brings mankind together.
