Winner 1944 | WTAG Radio

Outstanding Public Service by a Regional Station: In a year as crucial as this, station WTAG of Worcester set a fine example by focusing the attention of its community upon international understanding. Week by week, its original and comprehensive program, Worcester and the World, brought each of the United Nations to Worcester. By the correlation of special displays, musical programs, public forums and good news stories, Worcester extended the knowledge of each of our allies. In recognition of such public service, the Peabody Medal goes to WTAG.
