Outstanding Public Service by a Regional Station: The award for outstanding public service by a regional station goes to station WCHS, Charleston, West Virginia, for the program The Home Front, a twice-weekly feature which has created and maintained morale by providing authoritative answers to listener questions dealing with the most perplexing of public problems in a community at war. In making this award, the Peabody Board has been guided by the University of Georgia faculty committee on preliminary selections.
