Harry Reasoner is a skillful and responsible reporter; has demonstrated a unique capacity for pin-pointing the not-so-obvious and for holding up to inspection some of the absurdities with which we live. His television essays, with producer Andrew Rooney*, among the capital attractions of 1966, exemplified journalistic skill, taste, and imagination. In recognition, a Peabody Award. *Andrew “Andy” Rooney wrote most of the commentary Reasoner delivered on the air.
