Captain Kangaroo

Captain Kangaroo
 1972 | CBS-TV

Through the years, Captain Kangaroo has been a gently informative and provocative program for young children. CBS-TV, Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo himself) and his staff have remained consistently sensitive to the needs of the special audiences for which the program is designed. Just as it did in 1957, the George Foster Peabody Board recognizes the exceptional contribution of Captain Kangaroo to Americans of all ages by presenting this second richly-deserved Peabody Award.
